
Father Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882 at
St. Mary's Parish in New Haven, CT.
The Knights of Columbus is an order of Catholic gentlemen committed to
the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, respect for life and the defense of the priesthood.
Our Father George Fangauer Council 5168 is an integral part of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Duncan, Oklahoma with all its mission churches.
Our Council is composed of 65 Knights. We hold monthly business meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7p.m. Meetings are scheduled for one hour with a published email agenda before the actual meeting.
A meeting Newsletter is sent to all members after the monthly meeting.
Knight Activities:
Youth Basketball Challenge, Lenten Fish Fries, Blood Drives, Annual Garage Sale, Youth Soccer Challenge, Marlow Spaghetti Dinner, Silver Rose Run, Parish Thanksgiving Dinner, Keep Christ in Christmas, Family of the Month,
and Assistance during various Liturgical Celebration.
Some of the Charities & project we support:
Seminaries & Religious, Jesse Moor Scholarship Fund, Center for Family Love for mentally handicapped adults in Okarche, OK, Duncan Community Christmas Dinner and Church Flagpoles and Windows projects.
